Penny Meaning and Father Vision

Symbolic penny meaning

This article comes from a question I got from a reader of the blog. He was having visions about his father and pennies. He as about penny meaning and I had a few ideas, but first, here is his question:

“Hi Avia, I read your post about penny meaning. I found your blog with that post after I Googled about symbolic penny meaning. I did this because I had a vision concerning my father on the penny.

I have been meditating for a year, and I am very good at interpreting what happens. But this recent vision I had when meditating has me stumped.

For the last 2 weeks when I sit to meditate, I see my father on a penny.

It is a US penny. It is very shiny, as if it is brand-new. I can’t make out any other markings on the penny (no date, or words), but my father’s profile is clearly stamped on the penny.

Can you please explain why I “saw” my father on a penny in my vision?

My father passed away 12 years ago. We were very close, and I loved him very much. I still miss him intensely to this day.

Do you have any ideas about the meaning of this vision?”

“Penny Meaning in Vision with Father” post

Thanks for sharing your vision, and I’ll do my best to offer some ideas about penny meaning and its potential in your vision.

Our deeper minds have a myriad of ways of getting messages (of all kinds, including messages from non-local energies) to us. One such way is through visionary experiences such as the one you’ve encountered by seeing your father’s face on the penny.

I’ve written about symbolic penny meaning here, but to recount the highlights, penny symbolism deals with:
• Value

• Exchange

• Initiation

• New beginnings

If we overlay those fundamental meanings to your vision, we can ask the deeper mind questions like:

“What kind of value did my father represent in my life?”

“What kind of exchange (communication, guidance) is being made between me and my father?”

“What kind of new beginnings or initiations was my father a part of in my growing up?”

Penny meaning deals with new beginnings and initiations because it represents the number one. In numerology, the number one is symbolic of the first level of a progression (2, 3, 4, etc). It is an assertive energy, and represents unification, solidarity and also honesty.

Number one is also symbolic of the sun, which is abundant in symbolism like health, wealth and security. Number one is lucky in new ventures, maintaining focus to accomplish goals and taking action.

The penny meaning in your vision could also pertain to simple values. For example, maybe you could consider what kind of value your dad placed on money. Did he “pinch pennies”, or spend freely? Did you take after your dad in your own spending trends? Maybe your dad is sending you a message about financial responsibility.

I’d like to call upon the “founding father” or “forefather” symbolism. Google dictionary defines “forefather” as: A member of the past generations of one’s family or people; an ancestor. The meaning of forefather combined with penny meaning might prompt a message that deals with your heritage or lineage. Perhaps it’s time to delve into your family tree for personal growth and enlightenment. The penny meaning in your vision connected with a “forefather” or “founding father” energy is symbolic of:
• honor

• truth

• strength

• honesty

• stability

• justice

• diplomacy

• patriotism

• equanimity

• solid foundations

What are the energetic attributes of YOUR father?

How has your father contributed to your founding belief system?

Within the constructs of your beliefs, what supportive role has he played?

“Seeing” family members (or anyone we closely share our lives with) superimposed on common emblems is typically a prompt to get our attention (it worked for you, didn’t it?).

The next time you sit to meditate, it might be a good idea to ponder these symbolic highlights in reference to your penny/father vision.

Is it possible that your father (or forefathers) is trying to communicate with you through a penny in your vision? Yeah, I think so. Our loved ones use any means necessary to get a message to us. If we are open to receiving, they are just as willing to send us a message. Sometimes they come in unorthodox ways, but when we take the time to investigate the deeper/hidden meanings – we discover their ways of communication are super-clever and imaginative.

I would also like to draw attention to the material realm – what pennies are made of. Pennies are composed of copper. Copper may well be the oldest metal in use (symbolic of firsts, new beginnings, initiation). Copper was associated with the goddess Aphrodite/Venus in mythology and alchemy, owing to its lustrous beauty, its ancient use in producing mirrors, and its association with Cyprus, which was sacred to the goddess. The elemental alchemy symbol for copper is also the planetary symbol for Venus. As such, this symbol embodies such characteristics as love, balance, feminine beauty, and artistic creativity. This is a nice connection with a loved one (your father) communicating with you through the penny vision.

Moreover, when we take the time to investigate the endless influence of energy from our loved ones – it opens a world of insight to us.

I know this isn’t a specific explanation for you – and there’s a reason for my ambiguity.

If I were to tell you “this vision means this” it would severely limit your own personal interpretation – essentially robbing you from a potentially enlightening experience.

Take the time to meditate upon this experience. Ease into the energy of your father, and play with the energetic symbolism of the penny. Free-associate, and let these various symbolic messages wash over your psyche.

I am including links to more information like the meaning of currency, more information on penny meaning, number meanings, etc. I hope these links to more information assist you in determining the meaning of your vision.

Brightly,
Avia
