"Trust" By: Ma Deva Padma

Earlier in the year I shared a few names of peeps who totally inspire me, and may inspire you too.

This is part deux of the same idea, only these magical peeps are of artful ilk.  Whatever medium, each one of these fabulous souls has touched me deeply.

What’s more, when I’m stuck in some kind of muck (writers block, emotional rust, barricaded perceptions)…I tip-toe through these artists websites.  Doing so gives me the leverage I need to get unstuck, readjust and swim along as life intended.

I trust you will find equal inspiration from their conveyances.  Check back, as I’ll likely be adding more as time moves on.

In no order:

Donna L. Faber: My friend and soul-sista, Donna’s art has a way of quaking me down to  my oogedy-boogedy shoes.  I own several of her pieces; they hang in my studio office and I can tell you they pack a powerful whallop of creative energy.  See Donna’s work at: www.DonnaLouiseFaber.com (be sure to check out her feminine art  - totally bonzer).

Chiara Fersini: As a writer, it’s frustrating to be wholly struck by various imagery & artful symbolism and not adequately express in word what’s going on in the soul.  That’s what happens when I gaze upon Chiara’s (aka Himitsuhana) art.  Her imagery constantly rips me in half because I am both spellbound, yet unable to describe the sensations set before me.  I can live with that.  Check her out on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/himitsuhana/

Göran Jönsson:  My friend Göran has an old soul, and I’m convinced he’s a descendant of Thor if not Hephaestus.  He takes the cold hard reality of silver and precious metals and molds them into meaningful poetry.  Sleek, simple and packed with symbolism, his sculpted jewelry proffers understated elegance too.  I own one of his pieces and find my demeanor instantly shifted upon donning it.  You can appreciate his work on his website: http://www.sculptedjewelry.se/

Susan Morrison Sims:  Have you ever swirled your finger on the surface of reflective waters?  Peering in, everything in the waters is cast back – but the images are all twirly and dreamy-like.  That’s where Susan (aka: Gypsy-Heart) takes me with her art.  She moves me right out of myself and into various parallels where I can heal, dream and wander.  Let her take you on a trip too: http://susanmorrisonsims.com/New_Work.html

Norn Cutson: I encountered Norn through Donna Faber, and so thankful for the connection.  His illustrations of classic albums are melodic and utterly macdaddy.  His art takes me on a spin cycle, and never leaves me out to dry.  Crisp, clean, bright and voluptuously vintage. Check out Norn’s goodness here: http://www.nornsisland.com/

James Sutherland: My thoughts lash out in millions of directions, James’ art has the ability to filter my scattered bits into focus.  I love his use of candy-Skittle-colors, they make my corpuscles go “pop” (a very good thing).  His symbolic view is fully refreshing.  When I go off into endless rabbit trails of symbolism looking for a fitting burrow, I find James’ art grounds and centers me.  His expressions are “just right” and comforting.  Be comforted yourself:   http://www.jameswsutherland.com/index.html

L. Caruana:  His rendition of Kali seized me.  So much so, I got it tattooed on my stomach.  I love Caruana’s approach to visual conveyance.  Deeply symbolic, mystical and multi-layered.  Very intense too.  Check out his vibe: http://www.lcaruana.com/

Robert Mendoza:  Some people you just know, @ first sight, they are total super-freaky-keen.  The minute I saw the Magnificent Mr. Mendoza’s work I was electrified.  Be enchanted: http://www.azodnem.com/

Commandax:  Not one single artist, but a blog devoted to a collection of artists, interviews and images of their work.  I don’t know Commandax, but I love her taste in art.  Not one feature on her blog, Erratic Phenomena , has led to disappointment.  On the contrary, her showcases are illuminating, her views perceptive and her posts enlightening.  See for yourself: http://commandax.blogspot.com/

Other artists who rock my world in one way or another…

Keep coming back, I’ll have more to add.

Other soulful kin who inspire me  (part one of this “name dropping” series).

She’s a soul sister and has been vital to my personal evolution.  If you don’t know her, you should!

Jade Dressler is a stunningly sparkly gem in my vision.  I love her perspectives and her sources of creativity are spun from vortices of vavavavoom! High energy, aware, irrepressibly chic with conscience, meet my friend Jade:

Greg Kaminsky is a virtual treasure trove of esoteric wonder.  If you want non-fluff, substantial information of hermetic, theological, esoteric, occult sciences, he’s your gentleman guide:

I first fell utterly in love with Colette Baron-Reid through her music.  It was sheer delight to discover she had a grand heart to match her musical talent.  What’s more, she’s stunningly accurate Intuitive!  You’ve probably heard of her, she’s internationally renowned for her intuitive gifts.  Do yourself a favor, and tune into her radio show every Thursday – it will be the highlight of your week!

There are some people whose vision sparkles at such a high vibe, you can’t help but get caught up in their brilliance!  This is how I felt when I met Carrie Anne & Scott, the masterminds behind Token Rock.  I love the mission and vision behind Token Rock so much, I post a lot of thoughts there via a blog they provided me (and you can too – just check out their journaling features on the website!).  I know you are going to swoon over the amazing information Carrie Anne & Scott have provided.  See why they’ve been nominated for the prestigious Webby award!:

Sarah Nash is one of those ebullient souls who has style, class AND a fabulous view on spirituality.  She’s got a heart of gold too. Check out her site:

Mark Husson is a pioneer in Jungian astrology.  His humor is killer, to be sure, but he backs it up with a strong backbone of expertise.  Empathy, wit, instinct and knowledge make Mark a genuine authority, and a world-class individual.

Declan Lestatis a fresh acquaintance, but I’m certain he’s an old soul with whom I’ve shared conversation over a cuppa java in parallel dims.  Maybe you will get the same vibe from him too.  Sleek, intelligent with just the right mix of cheek…Declan offers no-nonsense self-help.

Robert Phoenix Rising: Astrology Review

Robert Phoenix Astrology

Robert Phoenix Astrology

I’ve been following Robert Phoenix’s work for awhile, but not until recently did I commission him to cast his perceptions upon my astrological chart.  This blog post is a review of Robert’s services as a practitioner of astrology.

From the onset I was impressed with Robert’s apparent expertise in the field of astrology.  His analytical response to my signs, planets, transits, etc. were accurate and confirmed my own understanding.

Anyone who seeks deeper wisdom from the heavens knows identifying motions/placements on a chart is only a crack in the grand canyon of astrology.  The real magic is in the interpretation of stellar activity.

Robert’s approach to interpreting astrological data is refreshing.  It’s apparent he draws upon a vast stockpile of unique education & perspective.  I found his observations to be mind-broadening.  The way he expressed certain features in my chart allowed my perceptions to shift.

All outside opinions can be catalysts – but I found Robert’s view to be particularly kindle-worthy.  In other words, his insight is motivating.  Inspirational fuel.  That’s what a catalyst does…affects the molecular structure of a thing just by introducing itself to the mix.  Indeed, Mr. Phoenix’s astrological reading was impactful and affecting.

I appreciated Robert’s ability to express his opinions candidly.  He was straight-forward and delivered his perceptions without apology.  Honesty is vital in these scenarios – beating around the bush has no place in interpretations and I value Robert’s candor.

What’s more, Robert is a perfect blend of mystic and pragmatist.  He extolled ethereal/esoteric wisdom with aplumb and ease.  With the same easy charm he offered practical advice that played with my astrological proclivities.

  • If you’re the kind of person who cannot tolerate fluffy, woo-woo astrological readings, Robert Phoenix is the astrologer for you.
  • If you need clarity/confirmation on who you are & where you stand in the grand scheme of current times, Robert Phoenix can assist.
  • If you are seeking inspirational fuel to ignite your spiritual/psychic/creative flames even higher, Robert Phoenix is your lighter fluid.
  • If you need practical, stable guidance built upon educated astrological interpretations…you guessed it, Robert Phoenix can dispense.
  • If you need accurate astrological information from a trustworthy, soulful mage – Robert Phoenix can fill that tall order too.

To be clear, I do not endorse unless I’m whole-heartedly satisfied about the practitioner.  Ergo,  it should be clear I highly recommend Robert Phoenix as a remarkably talented, high-integrity, qualified astrologist.

His rates are extremely reasonable tooBook a reading with Robert Phoenix here.

Or, read through his tremendously unique and thought-provoking blog here.

Dreams An Illustrated Guide by Adam Fronteras (book review)

Dreams: An Illustrated Guide by Adam Fronters

Dreams: An Illustrated Guide by Adam Fronteras

I’ve had the utter pleasure of owning and reviewing a book on dream interpretation entitled: Dreams – An Illustrated Guide by Adam Fronteras, edited by Rashid Ahmad.

From the outset, this book is wholly enchanting because of its presentation.  Bound in a lovely cover with a page-placement jacket design – you can mark your place easily as you journey through your dreams.

Dreams – An Illustrated Guide is indeed every bit a guide.  I highly recommend taking this book with you on all your dreamy transits.  Reading the book from front-to-back as a novel will prove to be engaging as well as enlightening.

Alternatively, if straight-though isn’t your style, Dreams is a perfect reference guide to assist with dream interpretation.  Keep this book by your bed stand and refer to it upon waking.  Look up specific symbols in your dreams in the book and you will receive outstanding insight.

It’s clear Mr. Fronteras has done his research in compiling this vast array of dream symbolic meanings.  All the common dream symbols are covered in the book, and the explanations are clear, accurate and germane to the deeper psyche.

I’ve used this guide on many occasions of the last few weeks.  I kept it by my bedside and consulted the dream interpretations offered in the book after each dream sequence.  Each time I was pleased with the interpretations offered by Mr. Fronteras.

As a matter of fact, the dream interpretations in the book spoke to me on an archetypal level.  I felt connections being made between my ancient perspectives and my psyche.  This kind of connection is a gift that few people are able to give.  That gift is extended graciously in Dreams – An Illustrated Guide.

Part of the books power comes from the selection of images chosen.  You can tell a great deal of thought has been invested in the imagery used in this book.  I loved the vibrancy of the pictures, and these special images enhanced my interpretations too.

The book is extremely organized.  This isn’t a banal dictionary of dream meanings spewed in alphabetical order.  Rather, this is a thorough guide ordered in essential sections.  Each section offers a host of dream meanings.  Here are a few of the many areas of dream interpretations offered in the Guide:  Animals,  Environment, Relationships, House & Home, Cycles of life, Space and more.

The Guide also offers case studies and real examples of dream interpretations.  The introduction of the book is equally enlightening as it explains the purpose of our dreams and how to harness dream power for personal development.

It should be clear I highly recommend Dreams – An Illustrated Guide for both experienced and novice dream weaver.  If you are looking for dream meanings book that has depth, substance and profound power in tapping into the dreaming realms – this book is for you.

Reviewing Human Design Reading by Kim at Love Your Design.com

Review of Human Design Reading provided by Kim at LoveYourDesign.com

Review of Human Design Reading provided by Kim at LoveYourDesign.com

Let me say from the outset, it takes a lot for me to commission a reader.  I have to feel safe and trust the spiritual practitioner 100% before moving forward with a personal reading.

After following Kim Gould on Twitter, viewing her website (www.loveyourdesign.com), and reading her regular blog posts on the LoveYourDesign Blog,  it became clear Kim is a unique soul with valuable insight.

By getting to know her in this way first, I recognized Kim’s knowledge of the Human Design system was both expansive and impressive.  She did not disappoint either.  Kim’s interpretation of my Human Design was extremely valuable for my personal growth.

I love where she is coming from in her readings.  She takes into account what is present on the HD read-outs, but also pays special attention to the subtleties of the results.  Meaning, she’s just as attuned to the obscure shadows of her client’s design as she is to the obvious.

Further, I appreciate how Kim has a deep respect for the human soul.  For example, she found no fault or error in  my design.  Rather, she could interpret certain weaknesses as strengths, and she put a hopeful/uplifting spin on a few areas of my design that could otherwise be viewed as “dark.”

Kim puts emphasis on the flexible nature of both humankind and our designs.  My impression is that she sees no limit to each humans potential – and so her readings are incredibly inspirational.

Her respect for soul-growth is further evident in her unspoken commitment to liberating limitations – her interpretation of the HD system is about pointing out our tendencies, and proclivities in order to enhance a richer, deeper flow of energy through our minds, bodies, souls, hearts – and ultimately experiencing a magnificent current of growth throughout our entire lives.

My favorite part of Kim’s HD readings is that she gave me specific and detailed suggestions about how I can more effectively work WITH my design.  She points a clear path to embracing our inner facets and working with ourselves in order to live life to its fullest.

I also loved hearing Kim’s sing-song voice on the recording.  She has a naturally soothing expression, which I found very comforting.  Her voice is almost angelic, and I felt instantly calm while she spoke of my Human Design.

It should be clear I highly recommend Kim’s Human Design service.  Kim’s compassion and empathy sparkle in every aspect of her readings.  Further, the expertise and insight she offers in her interpretations are valuable beyond price.

If you have a strong grasp of who you are, and are comfortable with your inner landscape, Kim Gould of Love Your Design will launch you into new levels of awareness.  She will assist you in cultivating that inner landscape to bring about a magnificent garden of meaningful inner-knowing and wisdom.

Visit Kim at www.LoveYourDesign.com say hi, and get a Human Design reading from her.  You won’t regret it.

Book Review: Family Sun Signs by Adam Fronteras

Family Sun Signs by Adam Fronteras

Family Sun Signs by Adam Fronteras

I’m still marveling over how Adam Fronteras was able to cram such a treasure trove of vital information in under 200 pages.

His book, Family Sun Signs is remarkable in that it is a concise guide on the interplay of sun sign personality types within the family dynamic.

This is a mammoth subject of discussion that could potentially fill libraries.  But Adam has successfully whittled down the information to a vital core.  He cuts away superfluous trivialities and really gets to the heart of these astrological personalities.

Family Sun Signs is a masterful guide in showing us how various signs interact to each other in relationships.  Adam doesn’t stop at love relationships either.  He dives into sun sign dynamics between children, parents, siblings and grandparents too.

Adam thoughtfully investigates the propensities of each sun sign and observes potential pitfalls and promises for each sign’s relationship.  Moreover, Mr. Fronteras offers these suggestions from an open-minded view.

He makes us aware of the tendencies for each sign as a tool to enhance our relationships, not judge them.

Family Sun Signs also stands-alone as a great primer for astrology.  The book starts off with a great “in-a–nutshell” history of astrology and also takes a look at how astrology works in our relationships.

Adam goes over the top in his book by offer uber-cool bonuses for the reader.  Like what kind of car you are most likely to have, or the one best suited to your sun sign (he called mine! Off-roading, all terrain vehicle!).

Adam also adds advice on the best pets according to your sun sign!

It should be clear Family Sun Signs is an incredible value to anyone wanting insight into relationships from an astrological point of view.  Adam’s thoughtful stance on the subject will bring new clarity to all your relationships!

Book Review: Touched by Evil by Michele Knight

Thursday, June 11th, 2009
Touched by Evil, the autobiography of Psychic Michele Knight

Touched by Evil, the autobiography of Psychic Michele Knight

To some extent, we’ve all had a case of the “Why me?” syndrome.

You know what I’m talking about.  A phase of life in which a load of miserable (sometimes horrific) circumstances have plopped right into our laps.

Taking a look at these utterly dismal circumstances, we sometimes think “Why me? Why are these terrible things happening to me?”

Reading Michéle Knight’s autobiography will cause you to reformulate that question from “Why me?” to “How can this hardship serve me?”

In her book, Touched by Evil, Michéle bears her soul with steely candor.  She recounts the events of her life tinged with abuse, neglect and circumstances that would put the most courageous among us at our wits end.

Michéle Knight is a brilliant psychic with an uncanny ability to see clear into the human heart with laser-beam accuracy.

And her book gives us a glimpse into how her brand of psychic power was forged.  In reading it, we get to see, first-hand how her intuitive brilliance was enhanced and developed under immense pressure and conflict.

Michéle writes about the abuse she endured as a child from an objective, aerial view.  Throughout the book, Michéle’s compassion radiates  as time and time again, she acknowledges the demons and social ineptitude of her abusers with a level of acceptance that can only be described as Christ like.

That’s a strong statement, but you’ll see it too when you read her book.  You’ll wonder how this woman was able to triumphantly move through one tragedy, loss and abuse after another to become one of UK’s finest and most powerful psychics.

You’ll learn she had some help overcoming insurmountable odds too.  Michéle was never alone.   She came into this world with a twin, and although her twin Lucy did not survive at birth – Lucy’s spirit resiliently lived on to guide and protect Michéle through her dark childhood.

Michéle weaves the story of her life with brutal honesty and stitches the painful memories together with a bright wit that makes you shake your head and laugh in spite of the circumstances.

What’s more, there is never a hint of the “why me?” syndrome in Michéle Knight’s life story.  This woman has endured unfathomable atrocities, and she never once blamed a soul.  She recognizes the value of her life, gives credit to the spirits who have held her hand on her path, and continues to love with a warrior heart.

This book will give you newfound respect for your life experiences. It will make you ditch the “Why me” syndrome and begin to see the world and all the people in it as divine (sometimes tragically divine) catalysts activating positive potential within you.

Further, this book will prompt you to take a look at the non-physical helpers who march with you, shoulder-to-shoulder through the battlefields of your life.  Michéle’s experience with her spiritual guardians will cause you to reevaluate your own spirit guides, and recognize they are undeniably present – able – and willing to assist you in your evolutionary path to betterment.

Michéle Knight’s autobiography, Touched by Evil is a true inspiration to those seeking proof that we are not our story.  We are valuable regardless of what our circumstances might indicate. We truly can overcome all odds against and experience love, success and peace. We never need ask “Why me” but we can live our lives knowing our experiences serve as fuel for our most brilliant potential.

In closing, if you want to know what a phoenix rising from the ashes is like, read Touched by Evil - it will clue you into the transformational potential each one of us possess in converting tragedy into victory.

Purchase Michéle’s book, Touched by Evil here.

Michéle Knight is a critically acclaimed psychic, astrologer, presenter, broadcaster and author who holds an honorary degree in anthropology.  Aside from all that, she’s a genuinely delightful person with a heart of gold.
